Following a hugely successful nationwide tour of The Wizard Of Oz in 2014, Trio Entertainment announce the UK Easter tour of their swashbuckling version of the classic J.M. Barrie fairytale PETER PAN which opens at The Swallows Leisure Centre Sittingbourne on March 28 and runs through to 30 May at the Rhyl Pavilion.
Trio Entertainment are thrilled to announce that Kurtis Stacey, best known as Emmerdale’s Alex Moss, will star as Peter Pan and will be joined by X Factor’s Chris Maloney as Captain Hook and Britain’s Got Talent finalist Steven Hall as Pirate Winkle.
Peter Pan tells the story of Peter, the boy who never grew up, who lives in a far away land just past the second star to the right, called Neverland. When Wendy is told that she must leave the nursery and start acting like a grown-up, Peter swoops in; and along with her brothers Michael and John, Wendy is whisked off on an action-packed adventure full of Pirates, Mermaids, Lost Boys and Native American Indians. On their travels the companions encounter Peter’s long time foe Captain Hook and battle commences!
Join Peter and Wendy on their fantastic adventure full of laughs and songs. With brilliant sets, amazing costumes and comedy routines children, young and old, will believe that anything is possible. You will feel as though you never grew up whilst watching your little ones have the time of their lives this Easter.
Producer Kevin Brown said: “I’m so excited for 2012’s X Factor finalist Chris Maloney to join Kurtis and Steven in the cast of Peter Pan. Chris has performed all over the world and I can’t wait for him to bring Captain Hook to life on stage. He will be the best singing Pirate in all of Pantoland. Chris is also a brilliant actor and he’ll be a very convincing villain to boo and hiss as he tries to take over Neverland.”
Kurtis Stacey is best known as heartbreaker Alex Moss in ITV’s award winning soap Emmerdale. A regular on television screens, he has appeared in smash hit series Waterloo Road and Hollyoaks. Kurtis graduated from Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. Having recently played Jack in St Helens Theatre Royal’s Christmas production Jack and the Beanstalk, Kurtis adds Peter Pan to an already impressive résumé of theatrical performances.
The star line-up is completed by Britain’s Got Talent star Steven Hall who made it to the final of the show in 2011. Steven said “All I wanted to do was go on stage and entertain the crowd when I auditioned for Britain’s Got Talent, it didn’t occur to me that I would ever get through.” Steven’s routine wowed judges Amanda Holden, Michael McIntyre and David Hasselhoff and even received a standing ovation from the audience.
Cast also includes Beth McMillian, Hattie Rainford, Lauren Boote and Chris Martin as well as children from all of the local communities which the production visits during the tour.
Regular Trio Entertainment director Anthony Proctor returns to take the reigns of the production. Anthony who has previously directed Aladdin at the Morecambe Platform and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at Melton Theatre and Exmouth Pavillion for the company said 'Peter Pan is one of my favourite stories and J. M. Barrie's tale has given immeasurable joy to millions of children. I wish that I was a boy who could never grow up! I'm very lucky that my career in acting and directing has enabled me to retain an element of play in everything I do. I am so excited to be working with such a brilliant cast to bring this fantastic version of the story to families this Easter.'
